DerScanner Opens a New Excellence Center in Mumbai, Expanding Its Presence in India

India's cybersecurity spending is set to grow from $6.56 billion this year to $15.06 billion by 2031, an 18% annual growth rate, according to Mordor Intelligence. Two things are pushing that number up: ransomware attacks against banks and insurers, and India's data protection law, the DPDPA, which now carries real financial penalties for weak security.

UPI alone processes more than 20 billion transactions a month, according to NPCI. Banks and fintechs are pouring budget into fraud detection and application security to keep up with that volume.

DerScanner's New Office in Mumbai

Mumbai Excellence Center is opening its doors this July, packed with a team of application security engineers who work directly with customers on rollout and best-practice guidance across DerScanner's platform: SAST, SCA, DAST, MAST, and binary analysis.

The Mumbai team works in Indian Standard Time, which matters for banks and telecom operators running under DPDPA compliance deadlines with faster back-and-forth. The office is staffed by application security engineers already serving customers across South Asia.
